BIOGRAPHY 

Born and raised in Belgium Kina Vandevelde (also known as Isabelle Vandevelde) is a makeup stylist, a hair stylist and a photoshoot stylist who has been working in the Fashion Industry over the last 20 years.

She studied art and fashion design. While enrolled Saint-Luc, an art school in Brussels. Kina got her start in fashion and beauty in the late 90’s. An era when a number of Black models were forging a path for themselves an their communities in an industry that was often stuck to narrow. In that regard, she is considered to be a trailblazer for becoming the First Belgian Black Model who made it internationally.

As an international model, Kina has appeared in dizzying array of fashion editorials, runway shows and ad campaigns. She has worked with the likes of Givenchy, Hermes, Armani, Yves Saint Laurent, Fred Jewelry (LVMH) just to name a few. While modeling, she quickly realized her passion for makeup. Her thirst for knowledge drove her to regularly classes at Makeup Forever Academy and Glow International Makeup School. Inspired by a makeup artist friend who showed her the ropes, she decided to turn her passion into a career. Since then Kina, has worked on fashion and editorial, photo shoots, weddings, festivals, private and public events.

Now spending her time between Belgium and Costa Rica, Kina has a number of strings to her bow. On top of making a name for herself as a makeup artist, she is also the owner of a domain in the Golden Coast of Costa Rica called Finca Shambalah.
